The easy and fun part of life

I realized I haven't written anything just fun and easy in a while. I've been writing more serious and deeper stuff lately. I know that this is due to the deep thinking and such that I've been doing lately, but that is not all my life has consisted of the last few weeks. I figured I'd update y'all on the more fun and easier side of Tyler's and my life.

I'll start with last Saturday. My dad invited Tyler and me to go to the Duke football game with him and his girlfriend. We of course said yes. I was very excited about this, because I have never actually been to and watched a football game in my life. I went to a few football games in high school, but first off it's high school football and is not all that great. Plus 95% of the time I didn't watch the game. I was busy hanging out with my friends and completely oblivious to what was going on in the game. Plus I never quite understood football until a few years ago. Melissa taught me the basics, and Tyler has taught me the rest. So needless to say I was very excited about going to the Duke game :) We went and had a whole lot of fun. Duke won! It's their third win this season, which if any of you know how truly awful Duke can and has been, then you know that this is amazing!

I've been all about trying new and exciting things lately, so I decided after going to this football game that I'm going to go to a high school football game in the near future. I want to go and actually watch the game. I know the team will suck, but still it seems fun to me.Tyler and I are also probably going to go see "Walking with the Dinosaurs" provided we have the money, which I'm sure we will. I also have some other fun stuff in mind.

This week has actually been a pretty good week. It's also gone by really fast. My compassion and empathy towards others seems to be growing every day. I have some really awesome friends. My anxiety has for the most part ceased. God is just good like that. I read the bible the other day and I opened up to John. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" It was another reminder that worrying isn't going to help. He's my new anti-anxiety medication. lol. I don't think we've done anything too exciting this week, but that's usually how the weekdays work.

We have a lot of exciting things planned for this weekend! I can't wait. I took tomorrow off just so I could clean the apartment, get some extra sleep, and go visit with my mom. Saturday I have brunch with Brit and Ana. You have no idea how excited I am about that one. I haven't seen them in forever! Then Saturday night we're going over to Shannon and Brian's to hang out. Jennifer, Matt, Kari, Mook, Audie, and some other people are all going to be there so that will be a lot of fun. Hopefully I won't get sick again and I'll actually make it to church with Shannon and Kari this Sunday. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time about trying out a new church. I think it'll be good though. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see Tyler's family this weekend. I haven't seen them in about two weeks, so I miss them. And then of course the weekends are always fun, because we do our football picks and watch football.
