14 Weeks

I've decided I have got to start blogging more about my pregnancy. I know I will one day want to look back on these blogs, and I think our child will too. I'm 14 weeks this week, and according to my "What to Expect When You're Expecting" app the baby is about the size of a lemon. Things have been improving greatly in the last week or so. I'm starting to get more energy. This is very much appreciated! I am actually going on 6 days straight without throwing up at all. lol, this is also very much appreciated. I have yet to go 3 days straight without throwing up since I'd say around 7 weeks or so. With the exception of a really bad migraine I had last weekend the last week has been really, really good. I think I am finally getting rid of all those miserable first trimester symptoms.

I'm starting to actually look pregnant, not just like I've over indulged on sweets. I've still only gained a total of five pounds, but to look at me you would definitely think I'd gain more. Or at least in my mind I think I look like I've gained more. When I use to gain four or five pounds my pants still fit. They were tight, but they fit. Now they are nowhere close to fitting. I think before the weight was more evenly distributed, and now it's all belly. I'll post a picture of my ever expanding stomach soon.

I went to the doctor last Friday. Everything looks good and healthy. We scheduled our next appointment and ultrasound for April 8th. Provided Baby Cole cooperates we will be finding out whether or not it's a boy or girl. I'm hoping for a girl. Tyler's hoping for a boy. Everyone else seems to think it's going to be a boy. I think it's a boy to. Not what I want, but still what I think. lol, I'm hoping I'm wrong! I'm excited to find out what we're having. I want to go shopping!!!!! And I want to start decorating the nursery.

A really good friend of mine that just had twins in December gave me her fetal heart rate monitor. I love having this! I use it about twice a week, and it's so reassuring to hear our baby's heartbeat. I'm prone to worry, so it's nice to be able to check and make sure there's still a heartbeat in there :-)

Tyler and I will be celebrating our two year anniversary in a little less than a month. I'm not sure what we're doing yet. Originally we planned on going out of town that weekend, but my sister in law is having her bridal shower the day before our anniversary. I have to go to that. We may just end up celebrating the weekend before. Ashley's getting married on April 30th. April will be a very busy month for us! I bought my bridesmaids dress two sizes to big and it's an empire waist so I'm praying that it will fit come wedding day! It should. I'm slightly upset that I can't go tanning before the wedding. lol, hopefully my EXTREMELY white legs won't blind people ;p
